American Cancer Society "Relay for Life"

Spring Arts Festival

Spring is finally here and now it's time to get ready for some craft shows! Once again, there will be a Spring Arts Festival this year as a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. The festival will be held on the Town Square, Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 10:00-4:00. There will be crafters, live music and great food!

Crafter and business info. Booths will be $40 each for a 10x10 space. The entire $40 will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Business info. Booths will be separate from the crafters. This is a non-juried show, but all crafts must be handmade by the person renting the booth.

A classic car show with a People's Choice award is also wanted. The entry fee will be $10 for each car and that money would also go to the American Cancer Society. Anyone interested in participating, should contact Doreen Brannan at 284-0044 or 682-4064. A volunteer to be in charge of organizing the car show portion of the festival is wanted.

Artist/Crafter applications and information letters are available for download at www.priviesandprims.com. All checks should be made payable to the American Cancer Society.

Tickets will be sold the day of the festival. Prize donations are also needed.This is a tax deductible donation. If you'd like to donate a prize, please contact Susan Strickland at 682-3675 or 284-3675.

Probably everyone reading this notice has been effected in some way by cancer. This festival is an opportunity for you to make a difference and support cancer research. If you're not a crafter, please come out the day of the festival and support this cause, or maybe your business could donate a prize for the drawings.
