I love your website and so enjoy getting news from home.  I grew up in Pensacola and Burnsville, graduated in 1968 from what was then East Yancey.  I read the local news and the obits daily and it makes me miss my home. I also love to see the very beautiful pictures & like that you change them so often.

 I have lived in Pawleys Island, S.C. for the past 33 years (that sure sounds like a long time) but will always call Western North Carolina my home.  May God continue to bless you all and give you abundant GRACE FOR YOUR JOURNEY.

Hello to my beloved hometown. I've been gone from Burnsville since I graduated in 1987 and joined the United States Marine Corps. I'm still on Active Duty and am currently stationed in Okinawa Japan. We have been over here since July 2002 and will be headed back to the US during July 2005. In the past, the only way I've kept up with what's happening in Burnsville was via the Yancey Journals my mother, Carolyn Ray, sends me..
