Monkey Business
Grand Opening Held

The Grand Opening Celebration was held
at Something Special Gift Shop and Monkey Business Toy Store August
31st thru September 3rd, with the ribbon cutting on Friday,
September 2nd. Pictured left to right Owner Dennis Matelski, Miki
Pontorno and Jerry Hatfield with the Yancey Chamber of
Commerce, Spunky the Monkey and owner Tina Matelski. The stores are
adjacent to their former location on West Main Street in Burnsville
in the old Burnsville Furniture and Hardware building.

Free hotdogs and cake were a
part of Friday's festivities.

The old counter from
Burnsville Furniture and Hardware has been kept as part of the
flavor of the store and now serves as Something Special's checkout.

leads into what will soon be the old country store part of Something
Special.

Large and small toys, many of them specialty type toys, provide
something for everyone--all ages and price ranges.

Stuffed animals, large and
small, from ducks to frogs, kitty cats and dogs--and of course, lots
of monkeys--at the new Monkey Business.
