JAARS, Jungle Aviation and Radio
Service, flies planes and helicopters on makeshift or short runways into the
remotest areas of the world to not only deliver food and medical supplies to
those in need but to also deliver the living food of Jesus Christ through

God's Hands Ministry of Crabtree Chapel Baptist Church operates on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00am-2:00pm to give food to the needy.

A men's discipleship group called "Men on a

Food Ministry
Paint Gap
Baptist Church in Madison County is doing a food ministry for the needy.
The only requirement is that you or someone your know needs food. Please
call 689-4841 for a pickup time on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. If you or
someone you know needs food right away, please call and you will be
accommodated. Residents of all counties are welcome.
Pancake Breakfast
The Knights of Columbus will be
having a 4th of July Pancake Breakfast at Sacred Heart Church at 20 Summit
Street in Burnsville on Saturday July 4th from 6:00am-9:00am. Breakfast
will cost $5 with free limited parking or $3 for parking only. For more

Relay
For Life "Hope Week" Events *
Cancer is
America’s no. 1 health concern. Statistics indicate that one in three Americans
will be a cancer patient in their lifetime. Today, 62% of cancer patients
survive! The survival rate can be increased with greater community awareness.
Cancer touches everyone in some way. We can do our part by eating healthier,
exercising more, encouraging smoke-free environments, helping programs that
provide for research, educating people on services such as the American Cancer
Society. We can also be more aware, get screenings and encourage others. One way
you can do your part is to make a donation to the “Hope Week” events during the
week of July 5th-10th:
• Sunday: Prayer meeting with all churches in Mitchell County to pray for those
fighting cancer @ Riverside Park in Spruce Pine at 2pm
• Monday: Local community bands and singers (Christian music) 6pm, $5 admission
at Big Crabtree Baptist Church.
• Tuesday: Kids Movies Night and snacks 6pm, $5, and a 3 on 3 basketball
tournament 2pm $3 per team (award for the winning team) at Big Crabtree Baptist
Church.
• Wednesday: Kids Movie Night 5pm, $5, Thursday, Adult dinner with jazz music
6pm, $10 at Big Crabtree Baptist Church.
• Friday: Relay For Life event at Riverside Park in Spruce Pine at 6pm, ending
Saturday morning around 8am.

Revival with Rev. B.G. McMahan *
Little Rock Creek Baptist
Church, located 6 miles outside Bakersville on Highway 261 will be in revival
starting Sunday July 5th at 7:00pm nightly, prayer room at 6:45pm. Rev. B.
G. McMahan will be the guest speaker. Pastor Dallas Renfro and the
congregation welcomes everyone to attend.

Liberty Chapel Freewill Baptist Church,

Yard Sale at Liberty Covenant Church
There will be a huge Yard Sale
at Liberty Covenant Church to benefit Operation Feed-A-Child and other missions,
Saturday, July 11, beginning at 7:00am. Nearly all is merchandise donated since
the previous sale, so come see the new stuff! Liberty Covenant Church is located
on Hwy 19E beside the Silver Bullet in Micaville. Rain date is July 25th.

2nd Saturday Night Singing at Brummitt's
Creek FWB *
Burmmitt's Creek Freewill Baptist Church will
be having their regular 2nd Saturday night singing on July 11th, begriming at
7:00 PM. Singers will include The Duncan Family and the Turner Sisters
from Marion, NC. The pastor, Rev. Dennis Autrey, and the congregation invites

Benefit Singing at Victory Baptist Church
There will be a benefit singing
on Sunday July 12th at 3:00 pm at Victory Baptist Church for the Martin Briggs
family to assist with funeral expenses. Featured groups will be the Davy Shelton

Old Fashion Tent Revival
There will be an Old Fashion
Tent Revival will be Monday July 13th through Friday July 17th at 7:00 pm
nightly. This revival is a cooperation of Bethel, Middle Fork and Beech
Glen churches. The tent will be on the lawn at Beech Glen Baptist Church
just outside of Mars Hill. Pastors Eddie Rice, Stanley Peek and Troy
Rogers, will be doing the preaching and they welcome all to attend. For

Dr. Jimmy DeYoung to Speak at Tri-County
Baptist Tabernacle *
The public is invited to come
and hear the well-known prophecy teacher and journalist, Dr. Jimmy DeYoung. Dr.
DeYoung will be speaking at the Tri-County Baptist Tabernacle (located at 252
Ridge Road) in Spruce Pine. The dates are July 20, 21 and 22. The time each
evening is 7:00 p.m. Dr. DeYoung is heard daily and weekly on over 800
radio and internet stations. This event is being sponsored by Mitchell Baptist

Spaghetti Dinner & Live Auction Benefit
for Food Ministry
Paint Gap Baptist Church Youth
and Food Ministry will have a benefit Spaghetti Dinner and Live Auction Saturday
July 25th at 5:30pm in the Paint Gap Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Cost
of the meal is $5 and includes spaghetti, salad, drink, dessert, and bread.
The church is located on Crooked Creek Road in Mars Hill, N.C.
